OUR EQUIPMENT COLLECTION / PHILOSOPHY:
Flowers has one of the more extensive and unique collections of classic and modern recording equipment in the Midwest. We have over 60 microphones including classics from Neumann, AKG, Bruel and Kjaer, Beyerdynamic, Electrovoice and Shure. We have over a dozen different "flavors" of microphone preamps from Trident, Neve, API, Calrec, Telefunken, Electrodyne, Manley, Focusrite, Altec and more. We have a broad and varied assortment of dynamics processors, eq's and other outboard effects to help realize the vision of the artist. The equpiment here at Flowers represents some of the most enduring, character-filled devices from the 1950's, '60's, '70's and '80's, along with some of the best modern pieces that we feel can "hang" with the classic stuff sonically.

Our goal is to have the widest variety of tones at hand to easily record whatever ideas might come up, whether "classic" or "far-out".
